Think of Christmas, we think of presents. Never would I have thought about an old lady snatching a TODAY newspaper from me, quite out of the ordinary festive season.
Yup. So the story starts with my brother and I alighting from my dad's car at Junction 8. My brother was going to take the MRT to his destination, while I was supposed to collect newspaper for my dad.
While we were approaching the newspaper stand, THE LADY appeared. yeah and she started asking my bro to take a copy for her. My bro refused, saying he was taking the MRT, and he said it politely. then she started following us and stopped. My bro took a newspaper and walk towards the MRT while I walked back to my dad's car.
And the awesome bullshit happened. Yeah I walked quickly with my head down and THE LADY appeared again. She said to me that I could take another newspaper and then give my copy to her. I hesitated ( wrong move, should have shoved her aside.) She asked if the newspaper was English or Chinese. Its TODAY ( of cos its English) and before I answered she snatched the newspaper away. SNATCHED IT. then she asked me to take another newspaper. I asked her why cant she take it herself. She said it was cos she was an adult. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT EXCUSE? ( realized later from my dad what the hell she is.)
I turned to walk to the newspaper stand and then I saw my bro stomping towards her. Boy, I thought he would punch her. But he didnt. They said something I didnt catch and before I knew it my brother snatched the newspaper, gavve it to me, and I sprinted back to my dad's car.
LOL.
Turns out these kinda people take alot of newspapers to sell to aang guni, not read them. Thus the people giving out the copies recognize them and we are also not allowed to take more than one copy. ( Would have died if I helped her.) These people will then get barred from taking the papers. Thus they target on school children ( I was wearing NJ PE shirt).
Great morning for an extraordinary "present" for Christmas Eve. It will surely be the most memorable, interesting, and exciting Christmas Eve, a.k.a The Season of Giving.
