Languages

I dedicate this post to two teachers.
One's a teacher from my tuition centre (sort of). Except that it's enrichment classes, not reviewing school stuff. She's a chinese teacher. She taught me from primary 3-6 and sec 2 to now...
The other is a lit teacher. She taught me from sec 2 to now...
These two are ironically similar... They have the same slant view about life. Their thought process is almost similar. But certain experiences makes them slightly different.
My (ex-) chinese teacher was really smart. But lazy. As she said, she had lots of experiences in life. From being top in class, to having to stay back for one year in JC, to stubbornly having a relationship in JC that resulted in her staying back... Then going to university and constantly scoring top in her class... And working in a factory, a banker, a teacher... And finally. She's in astrology. Much like a fortune teller. I wanted to learn from her... But she rejected me D; and said only after my As, I can find her. I'm too young to understand anything T.T Anyway  her usual story... She's a lazy student... But she suddenly started to get worried for her O levels. She counted... There were only 3 subjects she could probably pass in... But she needed 4 to get into JC. So, she tried to find another subject. She led her group of friends to the principal's office, and somehow persuaded him. So the subject she took was Art. She only had 3 lessons bfore she went for the exam... And she passed (out of 5 of her friends).  In the end, due to her brilliant planning, she was the only one in her class that got into JC o.o and of course, she had done a variety of weird stuff that we can only know when we're older -.-
The lit teacher. Witty. Not with the usual flow, but still parallel (sort of) to it. She doesn't share much... but she probably has really bad experiences that shook her up badly... Resulting in her strong self today. A really passionate teacher... Maybe that's why under her bubbly pretense, she's weary and tired. Looks to me as a person who tried hard to make change, but found that it was too hard... But she goes on believing. Very strong views.... Much like my chinese teacher. =) But she's probably always been on the straight path.
Experience still matters alot I guess... my chinese teacher had a variety of experiences...
They somehow have the same view on most matters. I swear intellectuals grinding their teeth at recent news and other happenings around will come to a consensus. After a certain age and knowledge, the thought process will be honed, to a level where all will meet. "all roads lead to rome"
The major difference between them both is religion. The lit teacher doesn't believe in religion... She follows the structure of "justified true belief". Something about seeing to believe. Sort of. Ironically, the chinese teacher believes in that too... Just that she has really seen stuff.
There's no better or worse between these two. One has alot more experience than the other. The other can imagine more and still come to conclusions.
More importantly, they were awesome teachers and they both had a passion for teaching, and learning.
I wish them luck in whatever they do. =)
Thank you
