Happy to have met these people, and of course the list is not exhaustive. Merely those whom I think would make reading this post more of a pleasure instead of me just indulging in writing a haphazard truckload of events. Hence I decided to touch upon the more distinctive traits of each person (which you may recognise), and perhaps construct a common memory.
JH105
Firstly an apology to Shajini, my roommate for two years. I must have tormented her quite a bit. Claire and I abducted her mattress and held it hostage in Akshaya's room one fine night when we had too much time on our hands, such that she ran about screamed for her bed on the 7th floor. We lied to her that we threw it downstairs to the laundry room and she believed it for a moment. Akshaya was nice enough to return it to her after a while :P
Claire who was always my partner-in-crime, and always getting high because of chocolate or whatever. But she left halfway. and so did Sherman and Carene. :(
Carene, or Carny (a nickname which she hates), who used to draw big-eyed penguins all over the board.
Eunice who is great at everything and a fellow CAPper :)
Ying Li and Vina. The three of us have had a system since JH1, where the top scorer for any test has to treat the other two to a drink (now a meal) as consolation for not-as-good results.
Vivianne, the idiot sharing my surname, and the one who did not talk to me for a year because I was not taking care of myself, but immediately went to the hospital to see me when I had a concussion. If she could stop talking about poop so much, or making up English words on her own.... okay nevermind. I shall not request for the impossible.
Dikaios, the one whose name is hard to spell, and the one who kept buzzing in class to practise for trumpeting. Louiz, the one who can do anything and everything. Glenys' paper cutting skills in jh2 just amazed everyone. also talented at everything. and morbid. The smart trio.
Akshaya, the cheery one, and the funny reporter in our drama production. JieMin, whom you could never judge by appearance... she's quite a sinister character :P mean and horrible and ahem not pure. JiaLing, who was my tablemate for a year I think, with YenLing and Vivianne. Both her and YenLing had to duck and avoid me when me and Vivianne were quarrelling. Ended up studying in the morning with her this year, with Vivianne and Lingyan, but we realised we never knew how to talk to her cos she would break into laughter at random intervals. I think it is very interesting to communicate with her; Lingyan thinks both Jialing and I need to go for communication classes.
YenLing, the genius at everything, and always high-ing with vivianne or her gang. ChingMun, super quiet but wild though I haven't seen that side of her much. Super smart and pretty too. Vina, second time mentioning her, but now talking about her treasury duties, where she was perpetually hounding the class for money in JH1 and 2. It was a nightmare to hear her talk as it meant money flying out of pockets. Another smart trio.
Jiayi, whom I talked alot too in jh2, but lost contact with subsequently cos change of classes. He freaks me out such that I avoid him when I see him along the corridor, where he usually prances about, gives a suggestive look, or hugs people. I have no more words to describe his oddity at the moment.
Janice, enthusiastic, blur, kind and bubbly. The atmosphere can never be dull with her around, and it was really great to be in the same class as her for 6 years =] Jothinee-- opinionated, logical, smart and organized... are good qualities she possesses, but not what I most pertinently remember her by. If I am not wrong, she has not bought a stationery for the past few years.... all because she picks up random lost stationery around the school. Her reasoning: "Finders keepers". A good day is a day where others lose their stuff, and she gets to keep their stuff :P
Clement, gundam fanatic and able to create great looking crossbows. =]
ZhiQuan and Julia. Not sure what happened in JH2, but their circle table group was in constant world war crisis as they tried to demarcate their territory with scotchtape on the table. Dominic, who did not bother demarcating, but simply shoved others' books off the table when they infringed his personal space. -.-// Dominic the yoyo expert sounds more favorable, as well as the andriod enthusiast (who in the end got an iPhone. not true to his beliefs haha)
Jh302- 13SH02
Julia and Keith, fellow writing buddies on potatoescankill. and guilty for writing collab poems during lit classes. I can never measure up to their standards
Maggie Julia WeiKai. the lit-ish/ art trio sitting in the front of the class. Always in a world we can admire but never approach.
Madeline. great CIP rep, and super nice person who is dedicated to her CCA. her perseverance serves as inspiration. =] Wenyu, the indecent one, and the one who always manages to get the class together to do something for our teachers. HuiLin the karate kid, brainy kid, and the one who manages her time and commitments so perfectly. The kind of friend who insults you to be nice to you. Definitely strong enough to beat me in a sparring match any time. Carissa, the angel. And I am so obviously biased towards her that Wenyu and HuiLin stare at me whenever I try to defend Carissa from their "bullying". Fellow songwriting buddy, who sent me a short recording on my bday last year.
Vina. Third time mentioning her. our class rep for 4 years, and our great Mother because she just takes care of our whole class. The "Fvuushkt" on our class jacket is due to her onomatopoeic tendencies, as she was describing to us that a hoodie is *fvuushkt with hand action over head* and a jacket is *fvuushkt as the zipping sound*, so she wanted our class opinion on whether we wanted fvuushkt or fvuushkt (everyone was confused). Another time was when she asked if we wanted a 'picnic' for class outing, but she printed the word 'panic' on the board, which threw the class into a panic attack trying to correct her spelling. :P Alissa, cute and funny (at least to me). She was in vina's pw grp, where they had to work through alot of difficulties (hmmm).
Crystal. My supposed trolling master, and a great writer (that's what I feel). Supposed trolling master, but I never did learn how to troll. Whoever was trying to be thoughtful and philosophical on fb in jh3/4 was sure to face her "k." or "k can." demoralising comment. Great stoning buddy during our jh4 chinese lessons because we weren't sure what was happening half the time.
Chai, Mynn, Julia, Kang. My dear pw group who had to sit through my horrid leadership for a year.
I confess my first impression of Chai was that he was a pickpocket/ thief. Always stealing waterbottles from people like a ninja (in jh2), and then returning them. Never felt safe walking near him then. Similar to Dominic, he loves wearing pink shirts o.o
Kang. the one who bugged me during econs tutorials by somehow unearthing the dolls 13sh01 used for haunted house. I think the teacher was equally scarred as kang twisted the doll's neck to look directly at him while he was teaching (there was red ink drawn as blood on its face). Another time he nearly opened an umbrella in my face. During self-introduction in our first gp class this year, he asked me for a more euphemistic word in replacement of "lazy". I said "relaxed". He then declared he was a "relaxed" person, but our teacher was wise enough to see through it and remarked,"I hope that does not mean lazy".
SH1-2
Vanessa Chin, the one whom I turned to after having been in most of her subject classes (except GP) for almost a year, to ask her why she was sitting beside me and to remark that I've never seen her before. She did not talk to me for a day after that I think, because she was "not important enough to be remembered". :P
Chin Chai Sim. The econs tuition buddy trio. Vanessa Chin and Chai Wen Min. We have unique surnames.
Litwing:
Vanessa Teo, Zach and Daryl. Vanessa Teo the very talented vice-president (club too small until no president), Zach whose poems I can never understand (except the cute snail haiku), and Daryl who quite manages to give an accurate reflection of Singapore life in his writings. the three of them have witnessed how I could have died many times considering the sheer audacity I have in offending the teacher-in-charge, Ms Soh. Or merely just saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. An example would be our farewell, when she bought a pizza and carried it for us.
We decided to take a photo then.
Me: "ms soh, I think you should stand in the middle"
Tchr: "why?" (apprehensive and suspicious)
Me: "Because you're our pizza delivery man" (I really meant to say 'dear teacher-in-charge')
Tchr: (sarcastic) "Well Michelle Sim, I am SOO flattered" (suddenly turns and asks) "Michelle Sim, how does my hair look?"
Me: "uh. generally. acceptable. yes, I think."
Tchr: "do you not have anything better to say?"
--> lack of tact seems to be my distinctive trait.
And hence Michelle Lim hates me because she is in shock whenever my name is called during lecture.

Boarding:
Heather: mah roomie with a REALLY happening life. enough said haha
Tung
Janice Low, also in my GP class, and a hyperactive kid. I get startled every single time she hits the table, claps her hands together and laughs (yes, it is a set sequence).

Random mentions:
TamTam, the canoe partner whom I lost halfway cos of my stupidity. She still insists that she can mindread and know what I think of doing next because we were partners.
Kok Chung, the guy with no rules. Always greeting me with "Oi you want to fight is it?" even in the library. Stare at him for more than 5 seconds and he'll respond with an aggressive "What I do?!". Always works.
All the nice and super pro juniors I met in Aikido. kah yee, jolene, yun chu, amanda, michelle fan, stephanie, lock yin.... no one can forget yun chu because she is so injury prone.
Lit class for jh3 to jh4. I never did understand why the play Lao Jiu is about the father. o.o
and many other people whom I have missed out and am too tired to write.
end of this letter to self.
Happy to have met all these people in my 6-year journeyy in nj.
